Fickle memories, images, and spaces vary in interpretation overtime, like wind changing directions. The practice of archiving what is non-representative, disconnected, and ever-changing may reflect personal histories and the experience of emotional displacement and disconnection in Asian-America. We traditionally may look at archives as static wholes growing linearly in size and scope of historical artifacts, rather than dynamic, shifting fragments of the present. This project, which shares the title of the zine, is Fickle Archive.
